ACTIVITY OUTLINE:
Join us online for an insightful teacher professional development session, where we’ll navigate the Working Scientifically NSW syllabus from stage 2 onwards. We’ll discuss the common challenges with hypotheses, scientific investigations, and data analysis in the classroom and offer practical solutions to seamlessly integrate data literacy into your teaching practices. Plus, don’t miss out on the fun – we’ll be conducting a live digital experiment through one of Arludo’s engaging science games!
This session will be run by Michael Kasumovic, an Associate Professor in Evolutionary Biology at UNSW. As an award-winning educator, researcher and science communicator, Michael brings a wealth of experience to help you engage and inspire your students with science. See you there!

Presenter Bio
Michael Kasumovic is an Associate Professor in Evolutionary Biology at UNSW Sydney and the Founder of Arludo. He is an award-winning researcher, science communicator and educator, with a long track record working with students at the university, secondary and primary levels.
His research ultimately gave rise to Arludo in 2015, which has since developed 30 science-based mobile games for educational purposes, with over 300,000 downloads and 10 million scientific data points collected through student gameplay.
Through Arludo, his mission is to increase interest in STEM topics and improve scientific thinking for students of all genders, ages, and socioeconomic levels.
