Transition to High School – Explore homework and study tips (Stage 3)
Our evidence-informed sessions have been created for students to improve mental health literacy and to provide information on support options available to young people.
ACTIVITY OUTLINE:
Presented by Brooke, an accredited Kids Helpline counsellor who is an expert in her field. Students can see a Kids Helpline counsellor and discuss moving over to High School utilising the Riverbank analogy and by exploring homework and study tips.
Our evidence-informed Year 6 video sessions provide a safe space to discuss the barriers and strategies for moving into High School. .
In this 30 minute video students will learn:
- Share and normalise common worries/concerns
- Know how to prepare for High School
- Review and rehearse strategies for making friends
- Know what to expect on your first day
