The Science of Swimwear – Properties and Performance of Textiles (Stage 4, Stage 5, Stage 6)
This interactive class mixes Textiles with Science, getting a closer look at the properties of their fibres, yarns and fabric.
By looking at over 100 years of Swimwear, we will consider scientific developments in textiles technology; from the introduction of synthetic fibres to the record breaking swimsuit that was banned for being ‘too good’.
