Rory H. Mather will read two of his latest picture books. Listen in as he talks about what it’s like to be a picture book writer. Discover some new dance moves and hear where Rory find his ideas and how he begins to write a story.
ACTIVITY OUTLINE:
Join Rory in this online event as he reads his two latest picture books. Sebastian Stands Out is the story of a chameleon who loves to dance so get ready to join in and show off your best dance moves. Book Week Bear reveals a case of mistaken identity on the day of the Book Week parade. Colouring sheets will be available for printing after the session.

Technology and Materials Requirements
This virtual excursion will be held online via Zoom. You will be sent the link to join with your booking confirmation.
Students can connect to our virtual excursions when learning from home. As a teacher, you will only need to register once to receive a link you can share with your students.
During the session, students will be able to ask questions by writing in the chat and they will not share any audio or video. All messages will be visible to the presenters but not to any other students.
When students use the link to join the virtual excursion they may be asked to download Zoom if they don’t already have it installed. They do not need to set up a Zoom account to participate.

This virtual excursion will be held online via Zoom. You will be sent the link to join with your booking confirmation. Please advise us of any cancellations ahead of time to enable another school to fill your space. We are unable to provide technical assistance during the conference so please ensure you have tested your equipment and are comfortable trouble-shooting during the session if necessary.
