How do artists use video to draw attention to the human body as it moves through time and space?
ACTIVITY OUTLINE:
Delve into some of the works of art from the Single Channel exhibition with your class. Brought to you by the Gallery’s artist educators, together you will look at how artists such as Tony Albert, Shaun Gladwell, Silvana and Gabriella Mangano and Club Até employ the medium of video. This digital excursion encourages students to consider the variety of ways that artists use the body in motion to communicate and tell stories, express their identity, interact with their environment, engage with political issues and contribute to social change.
