SciFest 2021: Science of Sound

Join Uncle Brendan Kerin and Macquarie scientists and students from the National Indigenous Science Experience Program and Dolby Australia sound technologists in this interactive session on the science of sound.
Hear about the importance of sound to Aboriginal cultural practices from Uncle Brendan, learn how sound happens and identify how much of a ‘sound genius’ you are, plus make some special sounds from materials around you.
Finally hear from Dolby Australia on career opportunities that allow you to combine the love of sound and science and technology.
All students will need a piece of string of 1.2 metres for this session.
