Celebrate the amazing life of Stella Bowen (on her birthday) with this special collaboration between the Australian War Memorial and the National Portrait Gallery.

ACTIVITY OUTLINE:
This interactive session for Stage 2 and 3 students uses artwork from two leading Australian cultural institutions to bring Stella Bowen’s creative story to life.
This program will highlight the achievements of Stella Bowen, by telling her story. We will examine primary source material from both collections to develop inquiring questions about Stella Bowen and the people, events, places and issues that surrounded her.

Students require some sheets of paper and a pencil/crayon/texta to draw with.
This virtual learning program will be delivered via Zoom. Upon booking, you will be sent a link to follow.
To facilitate the best possible experience we require a teacher to rename the Zoom connection to appropriately reflect those behind the camera. Your school name, student level/s and student numbers is preferred eg. Nolan PS – Year 5/6 – 50
