Listen to the thrilling space adventure, Far Out! and explore STEM study and career paths advice (Stage 2, Stage 3, Stage 4)

On Demand

Open to students aged 8 to 12 who want to learn more about STEM careers and opportunities.

ACTIVITY OUTLINE:

Listen to Far Out! by Lili Wilkinson.

Far Out! is the first story of Imagining The Future, a five-episode series of STEM- inspired fiction, specially commissioned for Future You.

The five stories (The Callistan Cycle) chart the establishment of humanity’s first deep space outpost, on Callisto, the second largest moon of Jupiter.

Each story comes as a full downloadable text and a thrilling dramacast, featuring five of Australia’s hottest young actors. Far out! is read by Brenna Harding from Channel Ten’s Puberty Blues, Vice President of Wear it Purple.

There’s a full suite of resources to help you explore the career sectors featured in this first story – space, aerospace, engineering, and robotics – with your students and/or children.
