Connect with historical events to explore how Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples have used their voices to create change.
ACTIVITY OUTLINE:
Step back in time to explore historic spaces within and around Old Parliament House. Hear the stories of significant First Nations people who have worked within the parliamentary system to create change, and those who have actively partitioned for change.
Students will:
- visit special spaces within Old Parliament House
- consider historical events and meet significant people who have impacted our democracy
- analyse primary and secondary sources
- engage in rich discussion

A minimum of 14 days notice is required. Cancellations closer than 14 days will incur a cancellation fee of $50 per program. If a school fails to connect at the booked time this will result in a fee of $50. A Terms and Conditions form is required to be completed.

MoAD Learning uses the free Zoom application on laptop or iPad connected to an interactive whiteboard or TV in the classroom. For multi-connections each device will need the same app. Other platforms can be accommodated if required. On booking, MoAD Learning will confirm date and time and send Zoom meeting details directly to the contact teacher.
