History Live! Voices From the Past – History Week (Stage 3)
Sep

Meet a Holocaust survivor and talk about their wartime experiences and starting a new life in Australia. Also join one of our curators to explore fascinating artefacts from our Collection.
ACTIVITY OUTLINE:
In this age-appropriate Q&A session, Holocaust survivor Kitty Lowinger will recall her childhood experiences during WWII for her and her family, and what starting a new life in Australia has meant for her. An SJM Educator will interview Kitty then students will have the opportunity to ask questions through the chat. Kitty will share personal photographs and documents through a Powerpoint presentation, and will talk with students about her message for today’s youth. Following this a museum curator will present several interesting artefacts from the SJM Collection, and hold a Q&A with students about the stories they can tell.
