Fantastic Phasmids – Virtual lesson on Zoom (Stage 1) (Stage 1)

Did you know that scientists thought Lord Howe Island stick insects were gone by 1920? They were re-discovered in 2001! Join us to explore more about Fantastic Phasmids.
ACTIVITY OUTLINE:
During the lesson Stage 1 students will learn:
What is a phasmid?
What are the external features of phasmids?
How many different types of phasmids are there?
Where do phasmids live and what do they eat?
What is the life cycle of a phasmid?
How is science being used to help phasmids?
Can you keep phasmids as pets?
Your students will be led through this fun and interactive lesson by NSW Department of Education Environmental Education teachers. All activities and concepts covered will align with the Australian curriculum.

Our school holds limited seating, and many of our classes sell out. For this reason, we request that you cancel at least 72 business hours before your scheduled lesson. This will allow us to offer your spot to another school.
You may call us on 02 4573 6323 or alternatively cancel on the Dart Learning Website.
If you give us at least 72 hours’ notice of your need to cancel, we will credit your payment toward another lesson.
However, if you do not cancel with at least 72 hours’ notice, you will lose any payments you have already made.
