Discover the various career pathways of a selection of staff working at the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority and at Reef HQ Aquarium.
ACTIVITY OUTLINE:
1. An introduction to the Great Barrier Reef, its economic importance to Australia and the number of jobs it supports.
2. Introduction to a variety of roles at Reef HQ Aquarium – including curatorial, water quality, technical operations and trades, commercial diver, education and sales and marketing
3. Introduction to a variety of roles at the Reef Authority – including field management, digital marketing, legal services, and fisheries management
4. Students will have the opportunity to ask questions throughout the presentation
