Broad Headed Snake – The Rarest Snake in Sydney?

Rumbalara Environmental Education Centre is hosting a FREE webinar on the Broad Headed Snake – The Rarest Snake in Sydney? It will be held on Tuesday 12th October 2021 at 10:30am. The approx. one hour webinar will be conducted by an experienced DoE teacher.
Students will:
– Discover what methods scientists use to research the Broad Headed snake.
– Explore what has caused the decline of this endangered species.
– Investigate what scientists are doing to help the Broad Headed Snake.
– Find out what you can do to help conserve this remarkable reptile.
Outcomes:
Stage 3
- describe how changing physical conditions in the environment affect the growth and survival of living things
- describe the structural and/or behavioural features of some native Australian animals and plants and why they are considered to be adaptations.
Stage 4
- explain how the features of some Australian animals are adaptations for survival and reproduction in their environment
- outline the structural features used to group living things, including animals.
