Book Week 2022: Yvette Poshoglian author workshop (Stage 2, Stage 3, Stage 4)

Join Yvette Poshoglian as she explores activism and the power of the written word to change the world!
ACTIVITY OUTLINE:
Yvette will delve into her new book Dear Greta and discuss how her character Alice Boghosian unfolds when she takes on a massive challenge to begin a writing assignment to Greta Thunberg on the other side of the world.
Students will be guided through two writing exercises as Yvette examines ideas of technology and innovation, multiculturalism and inter-generational storytelling, and leaves students with plenty of ideas for how to take their writing to the next level.
Students will need a pencil and paper for this session.

Technology and Materials Requirements
This virtual excursion will be held online via Zoom. You will be sent the link to join with your booking confirmation.
Students can connect to our virtual excursions when learning from home. As a teacher, you will only need to register once to receive a link you can share with your students.
During the session, students will be able to ask questions by writing in the chat and they will not share any audio or video. All messages will be visible to the presenters but not to any other students.
When students use the link to join the virtual excursion they may be asked to download Zoom if they don’t already have it installed. They do not need to set up a Zoom account to participate.

This virtual excursion will be held online via Zoom. You will be sent the link to join with your booking confirmation. Please advise us of any cancellations ahead of time to enable another school to fill your space. We are unable to provide technical assistance during the conference so please ensure you have tested your equipment and are comfortable trouble-shooting during the session if necessary.
