Beneath the Sea with ROVs (Stage 2, Stage 3, Stage 4, Stage 5)

Join us as we look at some Remote Controlled Vehicles (ROVs) and get a glimpse into what they find beneath the waves around the Maritime Museum and beyond.
ACTIVITY OUTLINE:
Join the education team at the Australian National Maritime Museum as we discuss the purpose of different types of ROVs and hear about how these ‘underwater drones’ are helping scientists around the world make amazing new discoveries about our oceans. Dive beneath the waves to see what our ROVs have discovered around the museum and beyond before talking through about some of the design challenges of making technology that can survive in the most challenging corners of our planet.
