Australia’s Ocean Odyssey: Journey Along the East Australian Current (Stage 2, Stage 3, Stage 4, Stage 5)

The oceans are Earth’s “blue heart”, and the currents that move the ocean waters across the globe are like veins and arteries that regulate the climate, atmosphere and biological diversity.
ACTIVITY OUTLINE:
Over millions of years, the East Australian Current (EAC) has created the conditions for some of the most diverse and abundant ecosystems on the planet, but the warming of the atmosphere and oceans is causing widespread change from Far North Queensland right down to Antarctica.
Watch and read from this fantastic resource to find out what the challenges are and what we can do to meet them in the future.
