Australian War Memorial: Explore the meaning of Anzac Day (Stage 2, Stage 3, Stage 4)
Apr
Find out about the origins of Anzac Day, and the ways that people commemorate and remember those who have served.
ACTIVITY OUTLINE:
Explore symbols of remembrance and discover photographs, artworks and objects in the Memorial’s collection. Hear the stories of Australian men and women who have served during times of conflict and war, and learn about the special ways we remember them on Anzac Day.
We encourage teachers and students to email us photographs demonstrating how their schools have commemorated Anzac Day in the past. We would love to share these in the webinar, so please ensure any identifiable students have the appropriate media release permissions.
We also welcome any questions that your students may have about Anzac Day prior to the webinar, as educators will endeavour to answer these during the program.
Please email photographs and questions to [email protected]
