ARTiculate Webinar: Economics – The Fiscal Response to COVID and its impact (Stage 6)
Jun

Examine how the Australian government responded to COVID, who benefited and how we will pay for this expenditure, while discussing the government budgets and its outcome.
ACTIVITY OUTLINE:
COVID-19 has had an unprecedented impact on all the countries, including Australia. To prevent the virus from spreading, most countries limited interaction among people on a scale that most of us had never experienced in our lifetime. In light of this, the webinar will examine how the Australian government responded, who benefited and how we will pay for this extraordinary expenditure which we couldn’t have done without, while discussing the Federal Government budgets and its outcome.
- The 50-minute webinar is suitable for Year 11-12 students in the HSC Economics course.
- Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions in the Live Q&A.
The webinar is part of the ARTiculate High School Talk Series, organised by the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, University of Sydney.
