ACTIVITY OUTLINE:
This talk aims to help students navigate critical and creative strategies in HSC exam in two parts – Part 1 for responding critically to unseen texts in Module A: Texts and Human Experiences, and Part 2 for responding to writing prompts in Advance/Standard Module C: The Craft of Writing and EAL/D Module: Focus on Writing.
- The 60-minute webinar is suitable for Year 11-12 students in the HSC English course
- Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions in the Live Q&A.

Presenter Bio
Dr Christian Gillitzer – Senior Lecturer in the School of Economics, University of Sydney
Christian Gillitzer is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Economics at the University of Sydney and a Visiting Fellow at ANU’s Tax and Transfer Policy Institute. His research covers public economics and macroeconomics. He is co-author of the textbook Tax Systems, published by MIT Press. He received is PhD in economics from the University of Michigan in 2013.
Mr Darren Svanfelds – International Programs Coordinator, University of Sydney
Mr Darren Svanfelds is the International Programs Coordinator for Strategic Partnerships and Engagement within the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at the University of Sydney. He has coordinated application cycles for dual degree, Sciences Po, France since June 2021. Darren was previously the Communications and Administration Coordinator for three years for the School of Languages and Cultures within the Faculty.
