Caring and connecting to Country. How can I care for Country? Why is it important?
ACTIVITY OUTLINE:
Students join an engaging & hands on lesson with staff from Kamay Botany Bay EEC co-designed with staff from the NSW Department of Education Aboriginal Learning and Wellbeing Team.
During the virtual lesson students will:
Learn about Welcome to and Acknowledgment of Country
Caring and Connecting to Country. The importance of and how to care for Country
Healing Country. Students will be inspired to create an artwork
The lesson will be hands-on, educational, fun and interactive. Lessons will be presented by Environmental Education teachers with support from NSW Department of Education.
This lesson explores concepts and practices through a variety of educational, fun, and hands-on activities, using an interactive platform with NSW Department of Education Environmental Education teachers.
Supports cross-curriculum priority: Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories and cultures

For schools with less than 20 students a discount will apply. $3.00 per student
Schools will be charged prior to the session.
Payment Instructions
An interschool journal or purchase order will be emailed to you upon your registration, along with the teacher pack of information. Payment will be processed prior to the event.

Cancellation Policy
Our school holds limited seating, and many of our classes sell out. For this reason, we request that you cancel at least 72 business hours before your scheduled lesson. This will allow us to offer your spot to another school.
You may call us on 02 9668 9889 or alternatively cancel on the Dart Learning Website.
If you give us at least 72 hours’ notice of your need to cancel, we will credit your payment toward another lesson.
However, if you do not cancel with at least 72 hours’ notice, you will lose any payments you have already made.

Technology and Materials Requirements
Teachers will need a whiteboard, laptop, webcam or tablet to access the Zoom lesson.
Once the booking is confirmed a link to Zoom will be sent.
Once a booking has been made a teacher pack will be emailed with pre and post activities. The pack will contain details of equipment needed for the Zoom session.
