A journey through film and sound history!

Students engage with the amazing world of Australian film, television, radio, music and video gaming with our fun-filled, curriculum aligned virtual excursion for upper primary aged students.
In this 30 minute session, you will be introduced to the iconic NFSA building and it’s intriguing history. We then go on a journey through film and sound history. Explore changing technologies within animation and film making, its history, and key Australian productions. Get answers to key questions such as:
- what is media literacy; and
- what is the first feature film?
- what is the oldest piece of footage in our collection?
This session is interactive and includes mini quizzes and tests as well as some exciting and educational clips form our collection. Join us!
