Students will discover amazing adaptations of living things focusing on chimpanzees and learn how to take action as global citizens to protect wildlife.
ACTIVITY OUTLINE:
In this Sydney Zoo schools program, students will discover some amazing adaptations of living things and take a deep dive into the life of the charismatic chimpanzee. Using the power of inquiry, students will investigate how humans have impacted animals’ abilities to adapt and learn how to take action as global citizens to protect the world’s wildlife.
The activities will include:
- identifying the structural and behavioural adaptations of chimpanzees
- an introduction to a variety of live animals from Sydney Zoo
- investigating examples of how humans impact animals’ ability to adapt and discuss ways in which they can make a difference.
