The University of Sydney: Science Alliance

USY_sigs2

Science Alliance was established in 1996 with the aim of bridging the gap between Science at Sydney and high school science teachers and allowing members to tap into the expertise of the scientific staff at the University of Sydney. Our Science Alliance programs cater to both the school community and the public. Each year the school community programs and events bring over 10,000 school students to the University of Sydney campus to experience hands-on and exciting science programs including the Sydney Science Experience, the Gifted and Talented Discovery Program and Kickstart Science. Many of these programs are specifically designed to cater to the diverse needs of students who have a passion for science and would like to learn more about where this exciting area can take them. The public lecture series, the Sydney Science Forum, brings over 2,000 people from the Sydney community a year on campus to hear about the latest in scientific research, ideas, possibilities and innovations.
