Australian Children’s Laureate Foundation

ACLF_logo_800x800

The Australian Children’s Laureate Foundation [ACLF] is a national, not-for-profit organisation whose mission, through the Laureate Program and elected Laureate, is to embed a culture of story, reading, creativity and imagination in children’s lives to increase empathy, curiosity, better life choices and educational opportunities.

Our Laureates are: Ursula Dubosarsky, Morris Gleitzman, Leigh Hobbs, Jackie French, and Alison Lester and Boori Monty Pryor. The Laureate for 2022-2023 will be announced in March 2022.

Since 2008, our six Laureates have spoken to over 240,000 children, teenagers, teachers and trainee teachers, librarians, parents, academics, as well as becoming a spokesperson for children’s writers, illustrators and the children’s book community. Our website includes free resources, newsletter and related research documents.

Laureates Online offers creative insights from the nation’s most successful creators, as well as practical skills for both students and teachers. All proceeds help fund our Program but are free to schools who meet the conditions outlined on our webpage https://www.childrenslaureate.org.au/laureates-online.

“…the expertise present and evident in these valuable resources make this a must have resource in the educator’s tool kit.”
