National Portrait Gallery

The National Portrait Gallery exists to increase the understanding and appreciation of the Australian people – their identity, history, culture, creativity and diversity – through portraiture.

Through our curricular based formal learning programs we connect students and their carers/teachers through our clever portrait selection for that week’s program and carefully prepared drawing-based activities.

We also offer online artist/academic led workshops, lectures and talks.
