World Read Aloud Day with Kate and Jol Temple (Early Stage 1, Stage 1, Stage 2, Stage 3)
Join the incredible Kate and Jol Temple as we celebrate everything books and reading! Hear them read TWO epic picture books G.O.A.T and Bush Turkey, and engage in a live Q&A.
Students will have the opportunity to hear Kate and Jol read not one but two of their highly engaging and funny picture books, as well as ask them questions about being successful authors.
In line with the themes of G.O.A.T and Bush Turkey, the Museum of Australian Democracy education team will support students to grow their classroom community, think about how they celebrate everyone’s uniqueness and curate the spaces they learn in.
This is Goat. He’s a pretty great goat. In fact, he thinks he’s the Greatest of all Time! But some of Goat’s friends are great too. Who is really the Goat?
He’s an unusual fellow, really quite quirky. He has many names, but let’s call him … Bush Turkey! His bald head is red, he’s impeccably dressed. And right now he’s building the world’s best-ever nest! With timber and sticks slapped together with plaster … will Bush Turkey’s nest be a hit? Or a wonky disaster?!
IS THIS A FREE EVENT? Yes
