Weather & Pressure – By Request! (Stage 2, Stage 3)
A show all about air pressure! Learn how the weather changes as our world is heated and cooled.
- What is air pressure?
- Why are low and high-pressure areas important?
- How are clouds formed?
- What is our atmosphere made of anyway?

Learning Intentions & Success Criteria
- Will understand the difference between high and low pressure
- Will understand that heating air, reducing air volume or adding more air molecules to a closed system increases the air pressure
- Will understand that low pressure increases the chance of clouds to form
- Will understand that clouds need low air pressure, humidity and dust to form
- Will understand that very low air pressure areas over warm water can cause cyclones
- Will understand that wind shear plus opposing air currents can cause tornadoes
- Will understand that convection brings humid air into the stratosphere to cool and condense as part of the water cycle
If we cannot reschedule, cancellations less than 7 days prior to the event will incur 100% of the booking charge.
