Celebrate our First Nations identity for NAIDOC with the extensive National Portrait Gallery collection. Under the 2021 theme Heal Country! this program will recognise portraits in the collection that shine a light on occupation, stories, and resilience as place-based culture work. We acknowledge collective communities and the individuals who contribute as leaders of our nation.
Programs for all year levels are delivered live by educators for students in the classroom. From 19 to 29 July, join Wiradjuri-Scottish educator-in-residence April Phillips on an interactive excursion to investigate how and why we need to recognise place as a significant part of our identity. If we work towards healing country, we work towards healing our nation.
