A Museum educator-led program where students investigate the theme of nationhood by interrogating objects, key events, and narratives that tell the story of Australia’s complex history.
ACTIVITY OUTLINE:
Students will:
– explore key events and periods that have shaped Australia, through object investigation and narratives.
– connect and justify the relationship of key events to the themes of First Australians, migration, federation and environment.
– construct and critically examine a timeline of objects linked to key events in Australia’s history.
– reflect on time, continuity and change in relation to Australia’s long and complex history.
