Teacher professional learning – Hazards (Teacher)
Sep

Natural hazards and disasters can have a lasting impact on the Earth and our communities. By examining years of satellite imagery we can observe the extent of hazard impacts on our landscape and infrastructure and plan for future events.
ACTIVITY OUTLINE:
This teacher professional learning session will explore how Earth observation satellites are used to monitor natural hazards, walk you through how to access real satellite imagery from the Digital Earth Australia (DEA) portal and will provide you with some ready-to-use classroom activities.
We understand that some participants may just be using a laptop but we recommend using a mouse and a second screen to make the session easier to follow.
Tablets not recommended.
