Teacher professional learning – Earthquakes (Teacher)

Did you know that Geoscience Australia has years of earthquake data freely available online?
ACTIVITY OUTLINE:
This teacher professional learning session will explore how you can access real earthquake data in the classroom, walk you through a global 3D earthquake model and will provide you with some ready-to-use classroom activities prompting students to collect and analyse data. We will also explore earthquake patterns and their implications for understanding the development of plate tectonic understanding.
We understand that some participants may just be using a laptop but we recommend using a mouse and a second screen to make the session easier to follow.
Tablets not recommended.
