Sydney Science Trail 2021 – Science of Rockets STEM Program
Aug

Calling all students for some STEM-based fun! In this unique interactive online program celebrating National Science Week 2021, student groups will be invited to log in to the Science of Rockets website and complete a STEM Design Cycle challenge for 30 minutes. Drawing inspiration from United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and the Design Thinking Stage of Empathy, you will investigate and sketch a prototype or concept to make the world a better place.
After this 30-minute challenge, audience participants will then join a live chat to specialists within the Aerospace/Space and Advanced Manufacturing Industries and chat about any STEM-related questions they may have. The panel will consist of women in STEM Leadership, IT Professionals and Rocket Engineers.
Once the live panel is concluded, all audience members will be directed to a STEM Survival Kit on the Science of Rockets website, that can be used to help direct people on what path/ avenues they can take to get into a STEM related career at any age or with any background. Suitable for Primary and Secondary Students. Limited spaces available to ensure quality interaction with our expert panel.
10-10:30am: Live STEM challenge activity
10:30-11:30am: Live chat to Women in STEM expert panel
