Survive and Thrive – Stage 3
Nov

It’s not just your favourite superheroes who have special powers – plants pack quite a punch too! Their mission? To survive and thrive!
In this virtual session, students will work with a Gardens educator to examine a range of plants from contrasting environments, learning all about the amazing adaptations – or ‘superpowers’ – that enable them to grow and survive. From arid deserts to temperate rainforests, students will fine tune their scientific skills as they learn to identify the weird and wonderful adaptations that helps plants thrive in these challenging environments.
At the end of the session, students can follow along with a live demonstration, completing a scientific illustration of a plant specimen found in their home, backyard or school!
Cost: $100 for 1 class up to 30 students/$175 for two classes up to 60 students/ $225 for three classes up to 90 students. Additional classes up to 30 students are charged at $50 per class
