ACTIVITY OUTLINE:
Students will move, sing, dance and bop along as they explore what it means to be safe and healthy online.
They will learn:
- the internet is like a theme park
- how to balance screen time with green time
- how and why we don’t share private information online.

Martin McGauran or Marty is a primary school teacher and educational consultant with over 12 years of experience in schools. He is a qualified teacher, holds a Masters of Education (ICT & Digital Learning) and is a Google for Education Certified Trainer and Innovator. In 2018 he co-founded Tech In Edu Magazine which is a publication that supports effective and innovative teaching and learning with technology.
Marty’s passion for cyber safety comes from his extensive experience in leadership roles within primary schools. He shares insights to inform parents of the many apps, websites and safety measures that impact young people in a digital world.

He is a qualified teacher, holds a Masters of Education (ICT & Digital Learning) and is a Google for Education Certified Trainer and Innovator. In 2017 he co-founded Inform & Empower.
Marty’s passion for online safety & digital citizenship comes from his extensive experience in leadership roles within primary schools. He is equally passionate about engaging with students, teachers and parents/carers.

Technology and Materials Requirements
Upon registration, teachers will get a join link to Inform and Empower’s Cybermarvel website where the YouTube live stream will be on in October. Teachers can also add the date and time to their calendars from the acknowledgment email.
