Virtual Excursions Australia is supporting the NSW Department of Education’s Rural Access Gap by providing discounted live virtual events available via DART Learning.
ACTIVITY OUTLINE:
In recognition of Threatened Species Day, Reef HQ Aquarium is offering a virtual learning experience. Join their marine educators to gain an understanding of the biology and adaptations of sea turtles. Using case studies from the Reef HQ Aquarium Turtle Hospital, you will examine the impacts of marine debris and look at how sea turtles are affected by other human threats, and what actions are being taken to help protect sea turtle populations.

Reef HQ Aquarium is the world’s largest coral reef aquarium and is the Australian Government’s national education centre for the Great Barrier Reef. It is operated by the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority.
Our range of curriculum linked virtual learning experiences are facilitated by a team of highly qualified marine educators who are flexible in their delivery of presentations, and who can tailor the presentation to suit all ages and stages of learning. These are an exciting, stimulating and easy way to involve and engage students in learning about a variety of topics relating to the Great Barrier Reef.
