Rural and Remote Specials: S13 – Exploring Space (Stage 1, Stage 2, Stage 3)
Virtual Excursions Australia is supporting the NSW Department of Education’s Rural Access Gap by providing discounted live virtual events available via DART Learning.
Explore space with robotic coding unplugged challenges. Take one small step, then a giant leap as we investigate the exploration of our Solar System. In teams, learners will work in a coding unplugged game with Scratch as they look at how robots learn to explore hostile worlds such as Mars.
Then Stage 1-3 dives into their specific content, causes of day and night, Earth’s relationship with the Sun, Earth’s place in our Solar System.
To end, we look at the future of space exploration and the roles young learners may play in the future. To the stars…
