ACTIVITY OUTLINE:
As the students make and respond to artworks, students will explore meaning and interpretation, forms and processes, and social and cultural contexts of portraiture.
Visual Arts | Foundation – Year 2
- Explore ideas, experiences, observations and imagination to create visual artworks and design, including considering ideas in artworks by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists
- Use and experiment with different materials, techniques, technologies and processes to make artworks
- Create and display artworks to communicate ideas to an audience. Please have drawing material/tools ready for each participant!
- Respond to visual artworks and consider where and why people make visual artworks, starting with visual artworks from Australia, including visual artworks of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples

Technology and Materials Requirements
Students require some sheets of paper and a pencil/crayon/texta to draw with.
This virtual learning program will be delivered via Zoom. Upon booking, you will be sent a link to follow.
To facilitate the best possible experience we require a teacher to rename the Zoom connection to appropriately reflect those behind the camera. Your school name, student level/s and student numbers is preferred eg. Nolan PS – Year 1 – 30
We prefer you have your cameras turned on as it assists to aid participant interaction with our shared community.
