Learning Intentions & Success Criteria
Following this class, a student will:
- be able to identify the parts of a flower
- be able to explain how photosynthesis works
- be able to describe how water is transported from the roots to the leaves
- be able to describe different tubes for transporting water and sugars through the plant
- be able to Identify that there are different plant pigments

Optional materials to have on hand include food colouring, plastic tubs, water, white flowers or cabbage leaves, flowers with distinct parts, paper or plastic plate, sticky tap, pen or marker, toothpicks, skewers, scissors, tweezers, ruler or tape measure, paper clips, beans, PET bottle, soil, cotton buds
