Music and adaptability (Stage 1, Stage 2, Stage 3)
Find out how to repurpose materials as musical instruments and use them to create a composition.
ACTIVITY OUTLINE:
In collaboration with Musica Viva and using music strategies, students will build skills in agile, adaptable and flexible thinking, as well as in music.
Through using music education strategies to build our adaptability and flexible thinking, we become better equipped to take on new situations and to pivot in new directions.
Students will be encouraged to reflect on and to think of situations when they have had to think differently and adapt to change. Sharing our stories and our feelings with others is a great start in this ongoing journey into accepting and adapting to change through sound patterns.
*Teacher resources to support this session are also available.
