Meet Phoebe, the Protector + STEM study and career paths advice (Stage 2, Stage 3, Stage 4)

On Demand

Open to students aged 8 to 12 who want to learn more about STEM careers and opportunities.

Join us for this on-demand webinar showcasing Dr Phoebe Meagher, a wildlife conservation officer at Taronga Zoo. Hear first-hand from one of Australia’s leading shark experts who has also worked in the jungles of the Philippines, helped stop wildlife criminals, and whose work was on the front cover of a famous magazine, Australian Geographic.

This session explores how Phoebe became a Protector.
The film comes with teaching resources and activities, plus advice for families, educators and children about STEM study and career paths.

BROUGHT TO YOU BY: Future You Australia

Dr Phoebe Meagher is a conservationist at Taronga Zoo, and an expert on sharks. ºAs a child, Phoebe became interested in nature and ecosystems because her grandmother used to take her camping in the Flinders Ranges and in the Simpson Desert. Phoebe works in research, protecting animals and reintroducing species to the wild such as bilbies.
