Learning Intentions & Success Criteria
A student will learn:
- Light is made of colours.
- A rainbow is made of the colours red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo & violet.
- That you can split up light as well as mix it to form primary and secondary colours
- Light can bounce inside some materials.
- You can see through some objects and not through others.
- That light can be transmitted as code in our internet systems
- That refraction is bending light through a material whilst refection is bouncing light off a material
- That different colours of light have different wavelengths
- That some objects can exhibit fluorescence under high energy light
- That some materials can change colour due to temperature differences

Presenter Bio

Optional materials to have on-hand include water, carboard, coloured markers (or pencils), paper, a bottle, a tray, 3 flashlights, red/green/blue cellophane, rubber bands, detergent, a plate, straw, salt, plastic mirror, wooden kebab stick.
