This event takes a deeper dive into the post-production, digital and VFX industry. With major studios such as Marvel and Industrial Light and Magic (Star Wars) now located in NSW, this sector is experiencing significant growth. Couple this with the demand for content from subscription streaming services (Netflix, Binge, Kayo, Disney+, et al) the industry is expected to skyrocket.
ACTIVITY OUTLINE:
Launch your Career is a series of interactive events connecting secondary students with industry to identify future career pathways.
Developed by NSW Department of Education, TAFE NSW and Training Services NSW, Launch your Career aims to facilitate a broad range of opportunities for industry engagement for students in Years 9 -12. Increased exposure to employers and the world of work leads to better outcomes for students when selecting a sustainable career pathway and has been shown to increase student engagement at school.
Future events will be advertised on staff noticeboard and statewide staff rooms. Staff and students can register and join zoom webinar events live to engage with industry experts.
