KIDS HELPLINE & HELP-SEEKING (Stage 4, Stage 5, Stage 6)

We can adapt session length to suit your school’s requirements. Run by professionally qualified Kids Helpline counsellors via video link.
ACTIVITY OUTLINE:
Our evidence-informed sessions have been created for students to improve mental health literacy and to provide support options available to young people.
Kids Helpline and Help-Seeking sessions are a fantastic opportunity for students of all ages to meet a Kids Helpline counsellor and to explore the service together. These sessions can offer students a positive first experience of mental health services, which may help to overcome some common barriers to help-seeking, such as demystifying, reducing stigma and normalising counselling.
The ideal sessions run for approximately 30-50 minutes per topic; the ideal number of students per session is approximately a class size. We recommend a maximum of 50-60 students per session.
