Humans Shape Places – Town Planning

In this fun and interactive webinar, students will learn about the key role of town planners in shaping communities. They will investigate good town planning strategies that help to create liveable cities. The webinar supports the stage 3 geography topic Humans Shape Places, using a case study of the Bays Precinct on Sydney Harbour. During the webinar, students can participate in interactive polls to test their knowledge, and hear geography experts describe urban design and town planning principles. After the webinar, students will have opportunities to practice their town planning skills and enter an urban design competition. A support website is also available to support geography fieldwork skills in the topic Humans Shape Places.
