Human or robotic exploration of the Solar System? (Stage 2, Stage 3)

On Demand

Who is more suited to explore our Solar System, humans or robots? You decide.

ACTIVITY OUTLINE:

The Solar System is a vast place of which humans have only discovered a small part. Hear from a panel of experts in this recording of a debate from 5 December 2022 as they discussed how best to explore our Solar System, human or robotic?

Brenan DEW (Australian Space Agency) and Dr Vienna TRAN (space medicine researcher) looked at the historical, future and current physiological and environmental factors involved in human exploration and how robots can be used as an alternate and disposable way to explore the unknown.

Though voting is over, you can decide for yourself and see if you agree with those that voted. Is the future of space exploration for humans or robots?
