Grades 0-1 (Early Primary) Intro to Kids Helpline Recording (Early Stage 1, Stage 1)
Emmy the Emu and Archie share their knowledge about Kids Helpline – Young people can chat to Kids Helpline ANYTIME, ANY REASON.
Presented by real, accredited Kids Helpline counsellors who are experts in their field. Students can see a Kids Helpline counsellor and put a face to Australia’s only free, private, and confidential 24/7 phone and online counselling service for young people aged 5 to 25.
ACTIVITY OUTLINE:
Our evidence-informed Early Primary video sessions provides a safe space to discuss mental health literacy and encourages help-seeking behaviours in grade 0-1 school aged children.
In this 15-minute video students will learn:
- Meet a real-life Kids Helpline counsellor you can contact for support
- Understand how to contact Kids Helpline for support
- Understand the role of Kids Helpline and counsellors
- Overcome barriers to help seeking
- Normalise help seeking
