Flyover Friends – Early Stage 1, Stages 1 & 2

An introduction to our feathered, flappy and flyover friends. Birds are found in every environment around the world, including our very own Centennial Park. During this program we are going to investigate – what makes a bird, a bird? We will take you on a virtual tour of some of the sites and habitats where birds are found at Centennial Park. How different birds build their nests and raise young. We are then going to take a look at all the interesting, adaptable and amazing things birds can do! Are you ready for a join us?
Students will
- Be introduced to some of the birdlife of Centennial Parklands
- Understand how to complete a bird survey
- Identify different habitats and what they offer to birds
- Understand the importance of corridors for migratory species
- Identify ways in which people interact with and care for wildlife
Cost: $100 for 1 class up to 30 students/$175 for two classes up to 60 students/ $225 for three classes up to 90 students.
Capacity 300 students per session.
