Fantastic Flying Foxes (Stage 1, Stage 2, Stage 3)
Every night around sunset, a black cloud of thousands of flying foxes leave Centennial Park’s swamp to find food. Did you know that we humans depend on them as they help to spread pollen and seeds? Find out many fascinating facts about these incredible animals and how they help us survive!
Learn more about the habitat provided for the Flying Foxes at Centennial Park, and what we are doing to ensure this vulnerable species thrives here.
This 30 minute live session delivered by our education rangers will take you on a virtual visit to Centennial Park and introduce you to Centennial Park’s Flying Fox colony.
Build your students’ knowledge of Australian native Grey Headed Flying Foxes with the four units of classroom resources, full of interesting facts and fun content.
