DNA – the key to life

On Demand

Find out why you and your parents look alike!

Dr Angelica Merlot – a cancer researcher from the University of New South Wales explains what DNA is and how researching it can help us understand diseases like cancer.

Olivia and Bella are interviewing Dr Merlot in this video. Learn how to extract DNA from a strawberry with the help of our activity sheet – maybe the first step of you becoming a research scientist too!

The content will be available 14 August – 11 October.

This program is part of Greater Sydney Parklands’ virtual event From Swamp to Scrub – an initiative supported by the Australian Government as part of National Science Week 2021.
