Danger, drama, action! How to write great adventure stories (Stage 2, Stage 3)

In this quickfire writing workshop, students develop an adventure story and use writing techniques to keep readers on the edge of their seats.
ACTIVITY OUTLINE:
In this workshop, students develop an adventure story featuring a flawed, underdog main character, whose abilities will be challenged by an escalating series of obstacles built to challenge them.
We’ll discuss why perfect characters are boring, how to use a ‘plot mountain’ for story structure and how to use writing techniques to keep readers on the edge of their seats.
Students will need a pencil and paper for this session.
